Central to the religious life of the school is the person of Jesus Christ who came among us ‘as one who serves’ (Luke 22.27). Our Catholic school is committed to reaching out to help those in need, through charitable outreach initiatives. All outreach activities connect to the person of Jesus Christ and to the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Drawing on the Catholic Social Teaching of the Church, we have a deep commitment to supporting a range of charitable organisations, families and individuals in need.

At De La Salle Catholic College Caringbah, we’re committed to  supporting and raising awareness of the need to support those less fortunate than ourselves.

Throughout the year, the college raises funds to support Caritas Australia, St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal and our sister school in Pakistan through proceeds from our De La Day. The college also participates in the Vinnies Christmas Appeal where students provide various goods to be distributed to local families in need over the Christmas period.

Currently the college has three immersions:

  • Central Australia

Youth Ministry

Catholic Youth Ministry seeks to involve young people within the whole faith community, expressing and understanding who we are as a church in our relationship with God. Activities can range from small scale events within a parish or Catholic school, to large scale events such as the Australian Catholic Youth Festival or World Youth Day.
