Today we were blessed to have special guest Gus Worland from the Gotcha4Life foundation join us for a very inspirational Principal's Assembly. Gus spoke to students about speaking up when times are tough and how it's one of the bravest things they can do. Year 10 Newman students participated in the Australian History Competition in Term 2. The competition tests interpretation and analysis rather than prior knowledge. Our students have excelled. Well done to all, we are very proud of you 👏👏👏

To celebrate 'R U OK?' Day on Thursday 9th September, Year 8 Italian students learnt some key phrases to ask in Italian to check in with those around them, and that asking someone if they are okay is universal, regardless of what language one speaks. To celebrate, posters were created to show what can be asked to friends and family to make sure they are really OK - 'Stai davvero bene?'
